Meet the Jesters.

Band History

Groove Rectification and Squishy Things

You might recognize Bob as being the official model and spokesman for Zubaz. He was not that guy but you might recognize him as such - the two of them certainly look alike. And Bob does love his Zubaz. If you stick around after a show you will often find Bob lounging about in a pair of Zubaz and one of his favorite Hypercolor t-shirts. Just be sure not to make direct eye contact.

Jim Beckwith
Trombone and Language Lessons

He's long, and he's strong and he's down to get the friction on. Jim holds the distinction of being the only member of the Jesters who can't read. Seriously - it's not funny. The guy can't read.

Jim Schwartz
Trumpet and Laser Beams

Most of Jim's formative years were spent collecting Care Bears. What began as a hobby turned into an obsession and shortly thereafter became a fetish. When denied his request to officially change his middle name to "Funshine" he burned all things Care Bear related. He now collects Jell-O molds.

John Modjeski
Guitar and All Things Robotic

At the ripe age of six John entered and won a Shirley Temple look-alike contest. By age eleven he had recorded and self-produced a dedication album to Shirley, featuring seven remakes of "Good Ship Lollipop". With a sordid past such as this, it is unclear when he became interested in robots. It is rumored that his guitar effects processor pedal, known as Guitar Commander, actually controls John's every move.

Bass and Corn Cross-Pollination

In the shower he sings.
On stage he plays bass.
Most of the other time he spends knitting monogrammed sweaters for shih tzus.
Don't tell him he Kant because he Kan.
He's Kantfident and Kanstipated. Don't ask.

Martin Monahan
Tenor/Bari Saxaphone and Appliance Repair

When not perfecting his Brian Boitano ice skating routine, Martin likes to dabble in poetry. He recently wrote these two haikus:

Oh, baby, baby
How was I supposed to know
Something wasn't right

You can start me up
Start me up I'll never stop
Oh yeah, start me up

Barbara Bouboutsis
Vocals, Ventriloquism and Martha Stewart Crafts

Barbara gets all her craft tips from Martha. She will bronze anything. She once even bronzed her ventriloquist dummy Billy. Thus ended Billy's career. Barbara, however, kept going with her ventriloquist act, and it can sometimes be seen at Jesters shows. Watch Barbara's lips closely the next time you think you see one of the Jims singing.
